acquired
the
remake
rights
of
Telugu
hit
movie
Swamy
Ra
Ra.
The
Tollywood
crime-comedy
flick
is
the
sleeper
hit
of
2013.
The
movie
is
currently
being
made
in
Kannada
and
it
will
also
be
remade
in
Malayalam.
Confirming
the
news,
Srikanth
said
that
he
has
bought
the
Tamil
remake
rights
of
the
flick.
"I
have
the
remake
rights
of
the
film
in
Tamil
and
Malayalam.
The
Tamil
version
will
go
on
floors
first,
followed
by
the
Malayalam
version.
It's
a
quirky
film
and
I
thought
if
I
remade
it
in
Tamil,
it
might
actually
work
out," Srikanth
told
IANS.
Srikanth
said
that
he
wants
to
play
the
lead
role
in
the
Tamil
version.
The
cast
and
crew
are
yet
to
be
finalised.
He
is
also
in
talks
with
a
director
to
helm
the
project.
Once,
he
wraps
up
his
pending
movies,
the
forthcoming
flick
will
hit
the
floors.
Srikanth
is
currently
busy
shooting
for
Tamil
films
Nambiar
and
Om
Shanti
Om.
Swamy
Ra
Ra
was
directed
by
debutant
Sudheer
Varma.
The
movie
is
one
of
the
few
hits
in
Telugu
film
industry.
The
entire
film
revolves
around
a
stolen
idol
of
Ganesha.
Nikhil
Siddhartha,
Pooja
Ramachandran
and
Swathi
Reddy
had
played
lead
roles
in
Swamy
Ra
Ra.
