Surya-Anushka-Hansika's highly-awaited Tamil movie Singam 2, which hit the screens across the globe this Friday, has opened to an earth-shattering response at the Box Office in India. The craze to watch the sequel to Singam was at its peak at the ticket counters across the country. As per the early trends, this much-hyped Kollywood film would smash all previous records at the Box Office on the first day.
Singam 2 has managed to drive unprecedented crowd outside both single screens and multiplexes that were screening the movie. The theatres across the country screening the Tamil film were overflowing with people within and outside in the morning shows. The Surya-Anushka-Hansika starrer registered 100% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes across the country on its opening day. In many places, the theatre owners had to call the police to control the mob.
The film had huge amount of advance ticket booking and remaining few tickets were sold out early in the morning. Many fans of Surya across the country had dreamt of watching the movie Singam 2 in first show on the first day. But several of them seemed to be disappointed as many theatres were showing 'housefull board' hours before the morning show began. A few of them even tried to buy the black tickets, which cost them more than Rs 1,000.
However, trade analysts have already predicted that Singam 2 would collect Rs 20 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office on the first day of its release, thereby beating all previous opening day records of Kollywood. Now, the first day numbers of the movie are being compiled. It should be seen whether it would reach the expectations or not.
