Thalaivaa starts off the business

Three back-to-back hits, and Illayathalapathy Vijay seems to be unstoppable. The actor, who had tough times between 2008-10, returned to his great form with Velayudham before his Kaavalan giving him a much-needed break. The success was followed by Nanban and Thuppakki, the two biggest commercial hits of 2012. And now it is no surprise that people are queueing up to be part of his success to make some money.

It is clearly visible with his latest movie Thalaivaa creating a lot of demand over distribution, satellite and audio rights. As a result, the makers of the film are forced to start the business. Well, the moneybags behind the film have now moved on to commercial part by selling the distribution rights of Kerala region. Shibu of Thameens Films has acquired the first Indian theatrical rights of the forthcoming Tamil film.

Reports say that Shibu has sealed the deal for a good price. Neither the makers of the film, nor the distributor quoted or demanded huge price as both the parties wanted to make profit.
