Is It A Political Film?
Many, when the first look was released, thought that
Thalaivaa would be a political film. Even the title
(Leader in English), made people to assume that it could revolve
around corruption and politics. It is not surprising, as Vijay
wants to venture into the politics.
What Vijay Said?
People thought that it would be used as a stepping stone by the
Illayathalapathy for his political entry. But Vijay and the
Thalaivaa team denied it and said that the film has
nothing to do with politics.
Time to Lead
However, one could not ignore that Thalaivaa would be
projecting Vijay as a supreme commander. After all, the teaser, the
stills and other promotional materials make us to believe that the
actor will be do-gooder in the film, as the film is coming up with
the tagline - Time to Lead.
However, Amala Paul, for the first time, is pairing up with
Vijay. According to the actress, her role in the film is not just
limited to running around the trees with Ilayathalapathy as she has
an important role to play in the story's progress.
Sathyaraj, Rajiv Pillai, Abhimanyu Singh, Santhanam, Manobala
and others are in the cast. Thalaivaa is directed by AL
Vijay and produced by Chandraprakash Jain.
