Vijay has been the favourite choice for remakes of successful Telugu hits. Now, he is the first choice for yet another Telugu hit film. Well, the super success of Junior-NTR starrer Telugu action-drama Baadshah has opened the way for its Tamil remake, the rights for which have been bought by Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinema.
"PVP Cinema has bought the Tamil remake rights of Baadshah, which is likely to be remade with a top actor," a spokesperson for Baadshah, told IANS. According to sources, the producers are planning to remake it with Vijay in the lead. They reportedly had a word with Ilayathalapathy and they are likely to screen the film for him soon.
The production house spokesperson said, "We don't know the name of the actor yet, but it is very likely to be made with a prominent face in Tamil," Baadshah, which resurrected the fading career of Junior-NTR, who had three back-to-back flops, is directed by Srinu Vaitla. Baadshah is produced by Bandla Ganesh and the film minted Rs 13.5 crore worldwide on its opening day April 5. It is running to packed houses.

Baadshah is made with the budget of Rs 50 crore. The major part was shot in foreign countries like Switzerland, Bangkok and Italy.
