Vijay's Jilla Is No Less Than Ajith's Arrambam

It has been the season of Arrambam. The Ajith Kumar's movie has set a positive atmosphere in the industry with his movie breaking a few records and making good collections. Now, his counterpart Vijay's next movie Jilla seems to be on the same track as the latest flick has started the business on a positive note straight away.

The makers of Jilla had decided to sell the distribution rights of several regions a few days ago. They started the same last weekend. But what surprised them was the competition to get a piece of Jilla from many distributors. It made producer RB Chaudhary to make his mind of selling all the theatrical rights. In less than two days, the producer earned a handsome money by selling the theatrical rights.

The underlining part of the story is that the speed in which the distribution rights were sold stunned the industry. The producer and the entire team are very happy with the development. Regions like Chennai, NSC (North Arcot-South Arcot - Chengalpet), Coimbatore and overseas rights have fetched good money to the makers of Jilla. The price paid for the rights, as always, are under wraps.

Shibu of Thameens Films, who distributed Krrish 3, has bagged the distribution rights of the Chennai region.

NSC-Overseas

Yahaya Bhai and Associates have acquired the distribution rights of NSC along with overseas rights.

Coimbatore-Trichy

Cosmo Shiva has purchased the distribution rights of Coimbatore and Trichy theatrical rights.

Jilla-Arrambam

Traders say that Jilla was no less to Arrambam when it came to the demand over distribution rights. The Ajith Kumar's movie had also created a similar situation in the industry.

Jilla In A Big Level

With Jilla being sold before the release, producer RB Chaudhary is now gearing up to promote the movie in a big level.

Cast

Jilla stars Vijay, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Goundamani, Mahat Raghavendra, Sampath Raj, Niveda Thomas and others are in the cast.

Team

Newcomer Nesan has directed Jilla, which has Imman's music and Natarajan Subramaniam's cinematography.

Pongal Release

Jilla will hit the screens for Pongal. The audio of the movie will be released in December.
