Vijay
was
once
criticised
by
some
producers
and
theatre
owners
when
a
series
of
his
movies
bombed
at
the
Box
Office.
The
powerful
Tamil
Nadu
Theatre
Owners'
Association
went
a
step
ahead
to
demand
a
compensation
for
the
losses
occurred
due
to
poor
performance
of
his
films.
And
also
they
had
threatened
to
boycott
his
movies
if
he
fails
to
bare
the
losses.
Now,
his
unique
gesture
would
silence
his
detractors
for
a
while.
The
Illayathalapathy,
on
Thursday
(December
19),
decided
to
thank
his
producers
in
a
never-heard
way.
He
paid
Rs
5
lakhs
each
for
the
producers
M
Rajaram
(Vasantha
Vaasal),
Soundarapandian
(Rajavin
Parvayile),
CV
Rajendran
(Once
More),
Balaji
Prabhu,
the
son
of
producer
M
Bhaskar
and
a
few
others.

Speaking
at
the
function,
Vijay
said
that
he
wanted
to
do
this
act
in
private
but
his
PR,
Selvakumar
forced
him
to
do
it
in
public.
He
explained
that
people
would
wonder
why
now
instead
of
doing
it
earlier
but
the
answer
is
that
there
is
no
time
bound
for
doing
good
things
and
the
thought
of
donating
occurred
him
now,
claimed
the
Illayathalapathy.
Justifying
his
act,
Vijay
said
that
actors
and
technicians
just
put
their
efforts
into
a
project
but
the
producer
invests
all
his
hard-earned
money
on
the
movie.
The
actor,
who
is
gearing
up
for
the
release
of
his
much-hyped
Jilla,
ended
on
the
note
that
success
gives
happiness
but
failures
give
experience.
