Vijay's Jilla Steps Back From Pongal Battle

The upcoming Tamil movies have already queued up to hit the screens for Diwali and Pongal festival in 2014. It has become a tradition for Tamil movie makers to schedule their movies to release on festivals.

Earlier, the makers of Jilla and Veeram had scheduled their release date for Pongal festival, 2014. The audience were eagerly waiting to see Thala and Ilayathalapathy movies on this auspicious day.

Two days back, the makers of Biriyani, postponed their release date from September 2013 and scheduled its release for Pongal.

Latest buzz says that Ilayathlapathy Vijay starrer Jilla has stepped back from Pongal battle. Source from Kollywood said that Jilla is still in the production stage and a song shoot is scheduled abroad.

The industry experts say that it is impossible for the crew to wrap up the project and release for Pongal festival. Jilla's first look is expected to release on September 9, for Ganesh Chathurthi.

Jilla has Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohanlal, Mahat Raghavendra, Parotta Soori and Vidhyum Raman in the pivotal roles. The flick is directed by RT Neason and produced by RB Chowdary.

Jilla stepping back from the race, Pongal festival will witness the release of Ajith starrer Veeram and Karthi's Biriyani.
