Actor
Kamal
Hassan
today
said
that
Vishwaroopam,
which
was
supposed
to
release
on
January
11,
has
been
postponed
to
a
future
date
for
his
convenience
and
he
was
not
pressurised
by
anyone
to
postpone
the
release.
Addressing
reporters
in
Chennai,
he
said,
"I
will
announce
the
release
date
of
Viswaroopam
soon.
No
one
else
can
take
a
decision
on
this
regard.
We
want
all
the
versions
of
the
film
(Tamil,
Telugu
and
Hindi)
to
release
on
the
same
day.
Also
we
would
like
to
give
more
time
for
people
to
subscribe
for
DTH
premiere.
He
claimed,
"So
I
will
soon
decide
on
a
release
date
which
is
comfortable
in
all
aspects," Kamal
said.
Stating
that
some
of
his
friends
in
the
industry
requested
him
to
air
the
movie
on
DTH
platform
on
the
same
day
of
its
theatrical
release,
Kamal
said,
"I
will
decide
on
this."
Kamal
further
said,
"I
am
doing
a
honest
and
legitimate
trade.
No
one
has
the
right
to
stop
me
from
going
ahead.
I
will
take
legal
action
on
those
who
threaten
me
and
who
try
to
prevent
me
from
doing
this."
In
a
dramatic
turn
of
events,
Kamal
Hassan's
prestigious
Vishwaroopam,
which
also
features
Pooja
Kumar,
Rahul
Bose
and
Andrea
Jeremiah,
was
postponed
and
the
buzz
says
that
the
film
would
hit
screens
on
January
25.
