By Ramchander
Kamal
Hassan's
Viswaroopam
woes
continue,
as
the
Madras
High
Court
has
stayed
the
release
of
the
film
till
January
28.
The
court
will
watch
the
film
on
January
26
and
pass
further
orders.
Prior
to
the
judgement,
there
were
lots
of
reports,
which
claimed
that
the
court
had
given
a
positive
judgement
and
Viswaroopam
would
release
as
per
the
earlier
plans.
This
piece
of
news
floating
on
internet
gave
a
sign
of
relief
to
all
Kamal
Hassan's
plans.
But
now
the
verdict
has
disappointed
the
audience,
who
were
on
their
toes
to
watch
the
film
this
weekend.
More
on
the
judgement
is
awaited.
In
what
could
be
a
shocking
news
for
audience,
Kamal
Hassan's
much-awaited
Viswaroopam
was
banned
in
Tamil
Nadu
for
15
days
on
January
23
.
The
state
government
decided
to
ban
the
film
after
several
Muslim
organisations
raised
objection
claiming
that
the
multilingual
film
shows
their
community
in
bad
light.
However,
Viswaroopam,
which
is
made
with
the
budget
of
Rs
95
crores,
will
release
in
about
500
screens
in
Tamil
Nadu.
The
Telugu
version
of
the
movie
is
also
simultaneously
hitting
screens
on
Friday.
