Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani rocks at TN Box Office
Ranbir Kapoor is a much-bigger star than the many other A-list actors from Bollywood in Tamil Nadu. It is simply because his latest Hindi film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has got a fantastic opening in the first weekend at TN Box Office.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani managed to pull good number of audience in its first weekend in Tamil Nadu. In fact, the Hindi film gave tough competition for films like Sasikumar's Kutti Puli, Allu Arjun's Telugu film Iddarammayilatho and two big English movies Hangover Part 3 and The Fast and Furious 6.
As per the traders, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has got a flying start at Chennai Box Office and it is said to be the best for a Ranbir Kapoor film till date. Reports claim that the Hindi film has done wonderful business in Kerala market too.
The trade reports say that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has raked in Rs 1.03 crore in TN and Kerala markets. Industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#YehJawaaniHaiDeewani storms Chennai city & suburbs. 2013's best ever opening 4 a Bollywood film. Ranbir Kapoor is a star in TN!"

He further added, "#YehJawaaniHaiDeewani - Super hit in TN & Kerala markets - collects Rs 1.03 Cr in opening weekend! Phenomenal." His earlier film Barfi too had done good business in the opening weekend in Chennai, but it dropped heavily in the following weeks.

Happy man Gaurav Verma, director - India Theatrical Distribution, Studios, Disney UTV, said in a press release, "Even in territories like Tamil Nadu and Kerala where Hindi film business is very limited, it has collected really well. It is being loved by everyone and we are confident it will create new benchmark at the box office."
YJHD Rocks Everywhere
Not only in Tamil Nadu, but all across the regions Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has left the mark at Box Office. The movie has almost surpassed Rs 100 crore mark at worldwide Box Office in just four days.
Second Best After Ek The Tiger
It has become the second fastest Rs 100 crore grosser Hindi film, with Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger topping the list. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin.
Reason Behind YJHD's Dream Run In TN
Traders say that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani did such business in Chennai because there were no big Tamil releases last weekend. The film is expected to have a dream run in TN for a week more.
