Nani
and
Vaani
Kapoor
starrer
Aaha
Kalyanam
has
opened
up
to
mixed
reviews.
The
film,
which
was
simultaneously
released
in
Tamil
and
Telugu,
has
failed
to
make
good
business
at
the
Box
Office.
As
per
the
trade
reports,
the
combined
collections
of
the
Tamil
and
Telugu
versions
at
domestic
Box
Office
has
just
crossed
Rs
2
crores,
which
is
very
less
considering
that
it
was
made
on
a
prestigious
banner
Yash
Raj
Films.
The
film
was
a
remake
of
Bollywood
hit
film
Band
Baaja
Baraat.
Band
Baaja
Baraat
was
a
successful
film
in
Bollywood.
This
made
Yash
Raj
Films
to
remake
it
in
South
languages.
But
the
film
could
not
create
the
same
magic
as
the
story
has
not
been
tweaked
to
suit
the
tastes
of
local
audience.
The
good
promotions
made
by
the
Aaha
Kalyanam
helped
the
film
cross
Rs
2
crore
mark
in
Andhra
Pradesh
and
Tamil
Nadu,
believe
traders.
Even
in
international
circuits,
the
film
has
not
made
good
collections.
According
to
leading
trade
analyst
Taran
Adarsh,
Tamil
film
Aaha
Kalyanam
is
a
disaster
in
the
US,
Canada,
UK,
Australia
and
New
Zealand.
He
further
tweeted,
"In
the
opening
weekend,
the
Tamil
version
collected
Rs.2.21
lakh
in
the
US,
Rs.22,835
in
Canada,
Rs.89,947
in
Australia
and
Rs.16,143
in
New
Zealand.
The
Telugu
version
collected
Rs.86,871
in
the
US."
