The much awaited news is here, the advance booking for Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa is all set to begin from 9th of December in Chennai. Fans have already placed huge cut-outs and newly designed flags of Superstar outside almost all the theatres.
Also, Many social welfare activities like blood donating camps, pledging to donate eyes and fund raising events for poor people have already been started by Rajinikanth fans.
Lingaa, according to sources, will be released in 5000 screens out of which Tamil Nadu and Kerala will get 1000 screens. No other Tamil film has managed to occupy so many theatres in Kerala like Lingaa. It is also said that Lingaa is touted to be released in more than twice the number of screens a straight Malayalam film would normally get in God's own country.
Lingaa in foreign countries:
The United States of America will have 328 screens dedicated to Lingaa and the pre-booking for the film started yesterday in the land of opportunity.
Lingaa will make its way into 85 theatres in England, 50 theatres in France, 20 in Denmark, 16 in Germany, 9 theatres in Netherlands, 6 in Switzerland, 4 in Norway, 3 in Belgium and 2 theatres in Sweden .
In Australia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Middle East countries, South Africa and Ghana, Lingaa will be screened in several theatres. It is said that Lingaa will enter into a record number of theatres in Japan for any Indian movie, however the exact number of screens is still unknown.
While the first show on Friday will be aired at 4 in the morning at most of the theatres in Chennai, there will be a special screening of the movie at 1 am in some theatres.
