Ajith's Film Halts Simbu's Movie Shooting

Silambarasan's movie Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai shooting has been halted. And it is due to an Ajith film! As well all know, Gautham Menon had started the former's movie last November. But without completing it, he has gone ahead with the latter's untitled movie. Hence, there has been a delay.

Simbu has said that Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai is still on and it has not been shelved as per some reports. They had kick-started the film before halting the shoots midway due to Ajith's film. He adds that the filming will take off soon.

"My project with Gautham is very much on. We started shooting and had to stop because Gautham had a commitment with Ajith that came and he had to complete it. Therefore, we've put on shooting on hold and as soon as we are good to go, we'll start filming again," Simbu says.

Simbu and Gautham Menon had earlier worked in highly successful movie Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. Hence, their latest movie Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai has been generating a kind of curiosity. However, the movie has newcomer Pallavi Subhash playing the female lead role. It has AR Rahman's cinematography and Dan Macarthur's cinematography.

On the other end, Gautham Menon's movie with Ajith is fast progressing. It has Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty in the female lead roles.
