CCL 4: Chennai Rhinos Loses To Kerala Strikers By 12 Runs

After a shocking tie against Karnataka Bulldozers last week, Chennai Rhinos has now lost a match in the fourth edition of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL 4). The team played its third match against Kerala Strikers and lost the game on Sunday (February 9).

Chennai Rhinos, which started their chase of 150 runs given by Kerala Strikers, could only score138 runs for the loss of 6 wickets by the end of 20 overs. The match was played at Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Kerala.

Kerala Strikers headed by actor Rajeev Pillai had won the toss and decided to bat first. It scored 150 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Kerala Strikers lost its first wicket in the form of Bineesh Kodiyeri in the opening over itself. It was a big break for Chennai Rhinos, who used the opportunity to put pressure on the host team. Captain Rajeev Pillai and Nandakumar took the responsibility of taking the team out of crisis.

But their partnership of 25 runs was broken by Bharath. The lose of captain put huge pressure on Kerala Strikers. And Manikuttan too departed by scoring one run in seven balls.
