Goli Soda has emerged as a suprise winner of 2014. The film, without a single star's presence, has achieved a notable feat, as the Tamil flick has completed 50 days in theatres.
There was not expecations from Goli Soda and it was
released when Vijay's Jilla and Ajith Kumar's
Veeram were roaring at Box Office. There have been many
small films releasing every weekend and Goli Soda stood
different from the rest.
Goli Soda was released on January 24 in Tamil Nadu. The
film opened up to positive response from critics leading the
audience to spread good word-of-mouth about the Tamil flick. It was
made with merely Rs 2 crores and it has made Rs 12 crores at Box
This is the one movie in the recent times which has turned out
to be profitable outing for all sectors of people involved in its
business. In the sense, producer, distributor and exhibitors all
have made good money out of Goli Soda.
Goli Soda is directed by Vijay Melton and produced by
Bharath Seeni. Kishore, Sree Ram, Pandi, Murugesh and others are in
the cast. The director himself has handled the responsibility of
the cinematography department and SN Arunagiri and A Seelin have
composed the music.
Meanwhile, the same team is planning for a sequel.
