Ilaiyaraaja Is Busy Scoring Music For His 1000th Film

Celebrated music composer Ilaiyaraaja never runs out of gas while composing his tunes. Working with the same childlike enthusiasm, the musical genius is busy scoring music for his 1000th film, Tharai Thappattai.

Tharai Thappattai is an upcoming Tamil film being directed by the critically acclaimed director Bala. The movie has Sasikumar of Naadodigal fame and Varalaxmi of Podaa Podi fame in lead roles. Shooting of the movie commenced recently where major portions were shot in Theni and in some areas close to Madurai. The movie is said to be based on folk artistes' which will see Varalaxmi playing a karagattam dancer and Sasikumar playing a nadaswaram player, sporting a clean shaved look with just a thin moustache.

Working with Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja is not new for Bala as the Naan Kadavul director has already created magic in films like Sethu, Pithamagan and Naan Kadavul after having worked with the legendary music director.

This reunion though, is happening after a gap of almost five years and has put a smile on the faces of thousands of fans who are eagerly waiting for the release of the album. Ilaiyaraaja is said to have been working on his 1000th film with keen interest leaving music lover's across the country all the more excited.
