Kamal Hassan Plays Two Roles In Uthama Villain

Kamal Hassan will be seen in dual roles in forthcoming Tamil film Uthama Villain. The names of his characters are Uthaman and Manoranjan.

A press from the production house confirms the same and reads, "Uthaman, an 8th century drama actor and Manoranjan, a 21st century cinema superstar. Both the characters are portrayed by Mr Kamal Haasan. Manoranjan's mentor, who has groomed and guided him to this status of superstardom, is played by Mr K Balachander."

Urvashi will be seen as Manoranjan's wife and legendary K Vishwanath will be seen in the role of his father-in-law. The 21st century superstar Manoranjan's love interest is portrayed by Andrea Jeremiah.

Pooja Kumar plays an emotionally disturbed Princess to Uttaman's 8th century persona. Nasser plays an overbearing dictator, Muttharasan from the 8th century story. Jacob Zachariah played by Mr Jayaram and his adopted daughter played by Parvathi Menon, are critical characters of the story. MS Bhaskar portrays the memorable character of Chokku Chettiar.

Uthama Villain is directed by Kannada actor and director Ramesh Aravind. It is produced by Rajkamal International and N Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers. M Ghibran has composed the music for the film and Shyam Dutt is the cinematographer.
