Kamal Hassan has signed his mentor K Balachander to act in his next movie Uthama Villain. The legendary filmmaker will be seen in a key role in the forthcoming flick.
K Balachander had worked in above 25 films with Kamal Hassan. He is the man, who shaped the career of the Universal Star. The legendary filmmaker cum actor will be sporting a beard for his role in Uthama Villain. It is said that the role is close to his real-life personality.
He could not refuse the offer when Kamal Hassan approached him to act in the film, say sources. Balachander was last seen in Tamil romantic drama Rettaisuzhi in 2010.
Uthama Villain will take off after the completion of Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam 2. The film is directed by Kannada actor-director Ramesh Aravind, a student of K Balachander like Kamal.
The flick tells the story of an aging superstar, which will be played by Kamal Hassan. However, the dialogues of the film is directed by Crazy Mohan, who had earlier written dialogues for Kamal's films like Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Apoorva Sagodharargal, Avvai Shanmugi and Panchathantiram.
