Kaththi
has
taken
a
beating
as
an
unidentified
mob
has
attacked
two
leading
multiplexes
in
Chennai
namely
Sathyam
Cinemas
and
Woodlands
Theater
late
in
the
night
following
an
official
announcement
on
the
release
of
the
film
Kaththi
worldwide
including
Tamil
Nadu
on
October
22nd.
At
around
11:45
pm,
a
group
of
people
allegedly
shouting
anti-Kaththi
slogans
have
deliberately
destroyed
the
theatres
by
flinging
petrol
bombs,
stones
and
other
sharp
objects.
Following
these
unforeseen
incident,
theatre
owners
are
most
likely
to
meet
up
today
to
take
a
final
decision
on
the
movie's
release
tomorrow.
Many
precautions
have
been
taken
by
the
producers
so
far
to
ensure
a
smooth
release
of
the
most
anticipated
film
of
the
year
on
Diwali
day
including
one
of
the
producer,
Karunamurthy's
meeting
with
the
city's
Police
commissioner
to
protect
public
from
the
group
of
people
threatening
to
stage
a
protest
against
the
release
of
the
movie.
The
producers
had
also
concluded
that
the
talks
with
the
protesting
group
were
fruitful
and
the
movie
will
be
released
hassle
free.
However,
all
that
looks
like
have
gone
down
the
drain
as
last
night's
attack
from
reportedly
the
fringe
group
have
been
severe
creating
panic
among
theatre
owners
who
might
have
to
rethink
about
releasing
Kaththi.
They
have
also
said
that
if
Kaththi
is
thrown
out
of
Diwali
race
then
they
will
have
to
move
Vishal's
Poojai
to
the
main
screens.
Kaththi
has
been
in
news
ever
since
the
movie
has
gone
on
floors
but
the
latest
news
making
headlines
about
the
movie
will
not
spell
happiness
for
Vijay's
fan.
If
the
protests
continue
to
flow
then,
Kaththi
will
have
to
remain
in
its
scabbard
for
this
Diwali
which
will
spell
disaster
to
the
movie's
producers
and
its
fans
in
Tamil
Nadu
especially
in
Chennai.
