Rajinikanth is back with bang. The four-year break will come to an end with his Kochadaiiyaan releasing worldwide on Friday (May 23). And the predictions say that the collections of this-year releases like Vijay's Jilla and Ajith's Veeram are set to be broken by the superstar's magnum opus.
On a rare note, a Rajinikanth's movie is releasing with mixed
pre-talk. As Kochadaiiyaan is not a regular masala flick,
a section of audience have not shown their interest towards the
film. For some, the quality of the animation has not impressed.

The good news is that Kochadaiiyaan is getting good
response all across the globe. The fans of Rajinikanth are buying

Ajith Kumar's Veeram and Vijay's Jilla had
managed to make less than 10 crores on the release day. Those
movies were released close to 800 screens worldwide. But in case of
Kochadaiiyaan, the screen count has crossed 3500 as of
Kochadaiiyaan Surpass 10 Crore Mark Easily
Traders analyse that even if half of the screens ran packed
house, Kochadaiiyaan will surpass Rs 10-crore mark at Box
All Three In TN Box Office
Even at Tamil Nadu Box Office, Kochadaiiyaan is likely
to make far better collections than Jilla and
Veeram. While Vijay and Ajith's films had released in
somewhere between 330-370 screens, the Rajinikanth film is hitting
the screens in 500 theatres.
Record Number Of Shows
Indeed, at some of the multiplexes in Chennai, there will be
record number of shows. In Mayajaal alone, it will have 100 shows
starting from 7am to 11 pm.
