Simran, who returned to films with Nani and Vaani Kapoor starrer Aha Kalyanam, is venturning into a new territory. The one-time most sought after actress is making her singing debut in forthcoming Tamil flick Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam.
Multifaceted R Parthepan has discovered her singing talent and has given her a chance to croon. He says that the actress had told about her wish to sing a couple of years ago. The actor-director wanted to give her an opportunity back then. But it did not happen for some reasons. Now, Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam is becoming a platform for her to showcase her singing skills.
"A few years back, Simran told me she was interested in singing besides acting. I wanted to give her an opportunity back then, but things didn't work out as planned. She has crooned a song in my latest film and she has the voice to be a great singer too," Parthepan told IANS.
They are yet to record the song. R Parthepan believes that singing could be a good career for Simran.
Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam produced by Parthepan himself features Vijay Sethupathi, Arya, Amala Paul and Tapasee Pannu in the lead roles. A host of celebrities are doing guest apperance in the upcoming flick.
