Thegidi 2 Will Not Happen In Near Future

After the success of Thegidi, director P Ramesh had announced his interest about making a sequel to it. Many had speculated that it will kick-start immediately and the director had started gearing up for the launch. Now, he has given a clarification that it will not happen in the near future.

According to P Ramesh, he is busy with a fresh story and he wants to complete it before starting work on Thegidi. "Thegidi 2 is definitely on the cards, but it won't happen immediately. I have started working on a new project which I intend to work on before the sequel," Ramesh told IANS.

The director claims that he didn't have bound script. "I didn't have a bound script ready for the sequel, but I had decided to continue the sequel with Vallabha's character that you see in Thegidi. I decided this while working on the prequel," he added.

Thegidi is a murder-mystery movie, which is produced by CV Kumar. The Tamil flick turned out to become one of the few hits in the first quarter in 2014. Ashok Selvan and Janani Iyer starring movie has also been dubbed in Telugu. It has Dinesh K Prasanna's music and Dinesh Krishnan's cinematography.
