The makers of Kochadaiiyaan had announced long ago that the Tamil flick will be releasing on April 11 for Tamil New Year. To take advantage of the long weekend, the movie bosses had decided to release the film on the afore-mentioned date.
Now, Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman has joined the race. The makers of this flick have locked in the date. They feel that it would be the perfect time for the release as people love to watch films during the festive season.
There are mixed reviews over the development. While some believe that Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman makers are taking a huge risk, many feel that there is always space for two-three movies during the festivals and it won't affect the Vadivelu's film, which is directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan. It is a comedy entertainer, which also features Meenakshi Dixit, Manobala and others in the cast.
Whereas, Kochadaiiyaan directed by Soundarya Ashwin is a big-budget film starring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone. It is a 3D motion capture computer-animated film.
