Rajinikanth
had
avoided
ever
since
Vadivelu
made
a
comment
against
the
Tamil
superstar
during
the
last
general
assembly
elections.
Their
combo
had
worked
big
time
in
films
but
the
one
ugly
statement
made
Rajini
to
maintain
distance
from
the
comedian.
In
fact,
the
makers
of
Kochadaiiyaan
would
have
cast
Vadivelu
if
the
comedian
did
not
make
a
comment
on
Rajinikanth.
But
later,
the
Tamil
superstar,
true
to
his
personality,
forgave
the
comedian
and
the
issue
was
sorted
out.
As
a
result,
Vadivelu
has
now
been
approached
for
Rajinikanth's
next
movie
Lingaa.
The
offer
has
been
made
to
Vadivelu
and
his
manager
has
confirmed
the
same.
But
he
has
not
signed
the
project
on
the
dotted
lines
yet.
However,
he
is
likely
to
finish
the
formalities
soon.
Meanwhile,
another
leading
comedian
Santhanam
has
been
approached
and
he
too
has
not
signed
Lingaa
yet.
The
forthcoming
Tamil
flick
is
directed
by
KS
Ravikumar
and
produced
by
leading
Kannada
producer
Rockline
Venkatesh.
Anushka
Shetty
and
Bollywood
actress
Sonakshi
Sinha
are
playing
the
female
lead
roles.
Kannada
superstar
Sudeep
and
Telugu
actor
Jagapathi
Babu
are
also
part
of
the
flick.
It
has
AR
Rahman's
music
with
R
Rathanvelu
handling
the
camera.
