Vadivelu's Thenaliraman Based On Fictional Stories

By Shankar

Vadivelu's comeback movie Thenaliraman has landed in controversy after several Telugu groups raised its objection citing that the historical King has been shown in bad light. Giving clarification to the issue, the makers of the film have said that it is a fictional movie and has no connection to the popular ruler of South India.

The Telugu groups had claimed that Vadivelu starrer Thenaliraman was projecting two popular historical people - Sri Krishnadevaraya and Thenaliraman - in poor light.

"The film Thenaliraman produced by us is an imaginary story conceived on the basis of Thenaliraman's moral stories. This film neither reflects the life history of Thenaliraman nor that of any person with whom Thenaliraman is associated with," read a statement from the production house AGS Entertainment.

"The story of the film is an imaginary one reflecting the lifestyle of people who lived in 15th century BC in the backdrop of present day happenings and events. All characters appearing in this film are fictitious," added the statement.

Thenaliraman stars Vadivelu and Meenakshi Dixit in the lead roles. Manobala, Radha Ravi, GM Kumar, Bala Singh, Namo Narayana, Baby Neha and others are in the cast. Yuvaraj Dhayalan has directed the movie and AGS Entertainment has composed the music.
