Vadivelu's
comeback
movie
Thenaliraman
has
landed
in
controversy
after
several
Telugu
groups
raised
its
objection
citing
that
the
historical
King
has
been
shown
in
bad
light.
Giving
clarification
to
the
issue,
the
makers
of
the
film
have
said
that
it
is
a
fictional
movie
and
has
no
connection
to
the
popular
ruler
of
South
India.
The
Telugu
groups
had
claimed
that
Vadivelu
starrer
Thenaliraman
was
projecting
two
popular
historical
people
-
Sri
Krishnadevaraya
and
Thenaliraman
-
in
poor
light.
"The
film
Thenaliraman
produced
by
us
is
an
imaginary
story
conceived
on
the
basis
of
Thenaliraman's
moral
stories.
This
film
neither
reflects
the
life
history
of
Thenaliraman
nor
that
of
any
person
with
whom
Thenaliraman
is
associated
with," read
a
statement
from
the
production
house
AGS
Entertainment.
"The
story
of
the
film
is
an
imaginary
one
reflecting
the
lifestyle
of
people
who
lived
in
15th
century
BC
in
the
backdrop
of
present
day
happenings
and
events.
All
characters
appearing
in
this
film
are
fictitious," added
the
statement.
Thenaliraman
stars
Vadivelu
and
Meenakshi
Dixit
in
the
lead
roles.
Manobala,
Radha
Ravi,
GM
Kumar,
Bala
Singh,
Namo
Narayana,
Baby
Neha
and
others
are
in
the
cast.
Yuvaraj
Dhayalan
has
directed
the
movie
and
AGS
Entertainment
has
composed
the
music.
