After 'Vijay 58', Sridevi Offered Kamal Hassan's Drishyam Remake

Sridevi Kapoor, who is returning to Tamil films after 28 years with Vijay's 58th movie, has bagged yet another biggie. Yes, the yesteryear actress has been approached to play a key role in none other Kamal Hassan's Drishyam remake.

As per our sources, the makers of the forthcoming Tamil movie has made the offer but Sridevi is yet to give her nod. We have to note that it is not for the role of Kamal Hassan's wife rather to enact the role of a cop, whose role has good significance in the movie.

Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor is impressed by the storyline and the talks are on. It appears like something positive could emerge from the talks in the coming days.

It will be her second Tamil movie in succession if she gives her nod to act in the movie. Her other movie is Vijay's forthcoming movie, which is called by media and fans as 'Vijay 58', which also features Shruti Hassan and Kiccha Sudeep in the key roles.

Sridevi-Kamal, A Successful Jodi

Sridevi and Kamal Hassan's jodi was one of the most successful combo in 70s and 80s. They have worked together in more than 15 movies including Moondru Mudichu, 16 vayathinile Kalyana Raman, and Sadma.

However, the actors will not be pairing up together this time. Indeed, they will be at loggerheads in the Tamil movie.

As far as Kamal Hassan's wife role is concerned, Meena, Gauthami and Abhirami's names are doing rounds. But it has not been confirmed yet.

Shooting Begins Next Week

The yet-untitled Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam will go on the floors from the first week of August. The film was launched last week.

Untitled Movie

Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the original, has been roped in to direct the Tamil version as well. Ghibran has been signed to compose the tunes for the film, which will mark his third collaboration with Hassan in a row after Vishwaroopam 2 and Uttama Villain.
