Vijay-Ajith Score Half Centuries With Jilla-Veeram

Vijay and Ajith Kumar have scored half centuries as their films Jilla and Veeram are completing 50-day mark in theatres. The movies were released on January 10 for Pongal.

The films had opened to positive reviews from fans earlier this year and have made good business at the Box Office. It was a rare clash of Vijay and Ajith Kumar films and both the flicks successfully managed to keep the cash registers ringing.

Jilla is an action movie starring Vijay and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the lead roles. Kajal Aggarwal played the female lead role in the film directed by RT Nesan and produced by RB Chaudhary. The family content backed with commercial elements were lauded by the Illayathalapathy fans.

Veeram is an action family entertainer starring Ajith Kumar and Tamanna Bhatia in the lead roles. Vidharth, Bala, Munish, Suhail, Santhanam and others are in the cast. The film is directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Vijaya productions. It will be remade in Hindi.

So far, Jilla and Veeram have made more than Rs 50 crores at the Box Office. The films are still running in a few theatres in Tamil Nadu.
