Vijay Awards 2014: Controversial Statement Twisted By The Channel?

Director Ram of Thanga Meengal was not a happy man after his film failed to get a a nomination in Best Music Director Award category at the 8th Vijay Awards (2014). He did not hide his emotions and expressed his displeasure while receiving the Best Movie Award. Many had expected the channel to delete it as he spoke against it. But the latest buzz says that it has been twisted.

Vijay Awards 2014 was held on July 5 at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai. Speaking at the event, Ram had criticised the way of choosing winners after his movie failed to get a nomination for Best Music Award category. He went on to invite Yuvan Shankar Raja on stage and presented the Best Movie Award won by him to the music director.

The event was aired on July 20. All eyes were set on the controversial part of the awards ceremony and many opined that the channel would delete the portions. But to everybody's surprise, it has just twisted his statement to distort the real story. Adding to that the channel added a clip, which praised Ram for airing his views and it encouraged other filmmakers to express their frank opinions.
