Fans of Illayathalapathy Vijay were somewhat shocked as they visited his Facebook page on Wednesday (April 9). It was a few days ago, the profile of the actor got a verification badge (check mark in a blue circle) and they had celebrated it. But suddenly, it was not visible on the page that led to lot of confusion.

Vijay's account as per his fans was verified recently and they were happy about it. In fact, they considered it as an achievement and they were proud to be part of the profile page.

It has more than 2.7 lakh followers and the engagement is pretty high compared to other actors' accounts. The line that strikes your mind is - This page is not a medium to spread insult and hatred towards other actors. Respect is a two-way street, if you want to get it, you've got to give it - written on the 'about' section.

However, the latest development has left them shocked. All they hope is to see a blue icon with a check mark soon as Facebook proactively verifies the pages and profiles with the largest audiences.

Meanwhile, Vijay is busy with his upcoming film Kaththi. It is directed by AR Murugadoss and Samantha plays the female lead role.
