Tamil Movie goers will be having a blast this Pongal with the simultaneous releases of two big films. After a long time, a Vijay's movie is clashing with an Ajith Kumar's film and hopes and wishes have reached sky high for the success of these films. Not to forget, the number games on the collections of the flicks have also begun.
More importantly, all eyes are on Vijay, who is the only actor
after Rajinikanth to have registered his name in
Rs 100-crore club in Kollywood. His 2012 movie Thuppakki had
become the landmark film in his career as it made more than Rs 100
crores at the Tamil Box Office. The feat is only next to Rajini,
whose Endhiran and Sivaji had made more than 100

Thuppakki was released for Diwali and it had faced competitions from a few movies. But the positive reviews from critics and good word-of-mouth had worked big time for the flick at the Box Office. Thuppakki Rocked At BO
The response was same in neighbouring states like Kerala, where

Traders say that wide release boosts movie collections and
producers try hard to release their films in maximum number of
theatres. Going by the screen counts, the road to Jilla on
getting a never-before opening is not easy due to competition from
other big films.
Good Content Required
However, the long run in theatre will decide whether
Jilla could break Thuppakki records for which
good content is required. If the content is good, the film could
not only break Vijay's earlier records, but also it could create
But also a few believe that Vijay's Jilla will be
pulling Malayalam audience due to the Mohanlal factor and wonderful
opening is guaranteed for the film. And it appears like the film is
not only for mass, but also for class. Hence, there are strong
chances of Jilla breaking Thuppakki
Jilla is an action movie with a storyline targeted at
family audience. Kajal Aggarwal is playing the female lead role in
the film directed by newcomer Nesan and produced by RB
