Seems like Illayathalapathy Vijay's political troubles are never ending! From the last few years, he has faced directly or indirectly a lot of political troubles. His Thalaivaa release is still fresh in the minds of audience. Now, his latest flick Kaththi has landed in a similar issue. It comes as a shocking news to his fans as they did not want any controversy again.
His forthcoming movie Kaththi has irked several Tamil groups. It is because of the involvement of Lyca Productions' Subaskaran Allirajah, who is said to be a close aide of Sri Lankan President Rajapakshe! There has been tension between India and Sri Lanka over the alleged genocide against the Tamils in the island country.
There are reports that Subaskaran Allirajah is funding Vijay's forthcoming movie. Aynagaran International has joined hands with Lyca Productions as the flick is being made with huge budget. No Clarification Yet
On the other end, Kaththi team has not reacted over the issue yet. The fans of Vijay want them to give a clarification on the same.
Vijay's Political Troubles
It is not the first time where Vijay's film had faced political issues. His Kaavalan and Thalaivaa were two films that faced issues during the release.
While Kaavalan had a smooth release after initial hiccups, Thalaivaa was unofficially banned over the caption. Several theatre owners received bomb threats prior to the release and made them to boycott the flick. It is only after the caption removal, it was allowed to hit the screens.
However, AR Murugadoss' Kaththi is an action thriller starring Vijay and Samantha in the leads. It has Anirudh Ravichander's music and George C Willaims' music.
