Chiyaan Vikram, who is busy with his much-hyped Ai, has reportedly watched Malayalam superhit movie Drishyam recently. The actor is impressed with the content of the film and he is likely to remake the film in Tamil.
According to rumour mills, Vikram saw Drishyam at a special screening in PVR in Chennai recently. He liked the content and the performance of the actors. Producer Suresh Balaji, who has the remake rights of the film, has approached him to star in the remake of the film. However, it is not sure whether he has given his verbal consent to star in the flick.
Vikram has to complete his mega-budget project Ai directed by Shankar and one movie each for directors Hari and Dharani. It is only after the competition of these films, he could take up the film. It has to be seen how the actor will manage time for Drishyam remake. Meanwhile, the producer is looking out for a director, who could tweak the story to suit the native audience, and other cast.
Drishyam is a drama-thriller written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. Mohanlal and Meena are starring in the movie. The film is now being remade in other languages like Hindi and Kannada.
