By Ramchander

AR Murugadoss has signed a Bengali actor to play the role of baddie in his forthcoming movie starring Vijay. It is none other than Tota Roy Choudhury, who will be entering Kollywood with this flick.

Tota Roy Choudhury has already started shooting his portions in Kolkata. Confirming the news, the Bengali actor has said that he is happy to be working with Ghajini creator AR Murugadoss. It is a good experience for him to be working with acclaimed names.

The 37-year-old will be seen in the role of an international gangster in the Vijay starrer thriller flick. Tota Roy says that the movie bosses wanted to cast a Bollywood face in the beginning for this role. But as the character demands to speak the Bengali language fluently, AR Murugadoss chose him to play the villain named Vivek Banerjee.

However, the name of the film has not been finalised yet. Vijay fans and media are calling it by the name Vijay 57 as it is the 57th movie of the Illayathalapathy as a hero. The shooting of the film is progressing in brisk pace.

The upcoming movie is produced by Ayngaran International. Samantha plays the female lead role. While Anirudh Ravichander composes the music, George C Williams handles the camera.
