In our age, where a couple of movies are released almost every week, it is quite natural for filmmakers to lament about running out of stories and ideas to fabricate a film.
Hence their attention is helplessly drawn towards real life incidents and official killings in the name of encounters.
One such controversial encounter that has proved hard for filmmakers to keep their eyes off it is the red sanders shoot out that occurred a few days ago near the border where Andhra Pradesh is connected to Tamil Nadu.
The film has already gone on floors, according to a report from a leading daily and upcoming Kollywood directors Augastin and Kalidas have joined hands to direct the movie.
Speaking to the daily, Augastin has said that they are currently shooting in the Thirunelveli and Dharmapuri districts and that some established actors have been roped in.
Confirming that the announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made available within two weeks' time, Augastin hasn't revealed much fearing unnecessary threats that might pop up given the fragility of the subject.
The film, titled Thookumara Pookal, will have its own sub-plots to enhance the entertainment quotient, according to one of its directors.
Rajeshkumar, known for his best selling crime novels has been brought on-board to take care of the script and dialogues.
It is also speculated that the team will go the extra mile to shoot the climax in the actual place where the shoot out occurred. For a movie born out of a controversy, it would do well if it makes it to the cinema hall.
