Anirudh Dedicates Canada Concert To Chennai Flood Victims

Young music composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander, who will be performing at the Powerade Centre in Brampton (Toronto, Canada) on Saturday, has dedicated his concert to victims of flood-hit Chennai.


Ravichander, who has composed music for Tamil films like 3, David, Irandaam Ulagam, Velaiyilla Pattathari and Maari, took to Twitter on Thursday to express his sympathy to the people of Chennai.

"Landed in Toronto. Thanks to all the fans who welcomed us at the airport. Dedicating the concert and proceeds to the Chennai Floods victims," Ravichander tweeted.

Anirudh is best known for composing the hit single "Why this kolaveri di", which was sung by the star actor Dhanush. The song received over 100 million views on YouTube.

The 25-year-old musician is currently working in Aakko, in which he will be seen playing a cameo. Some of his other upcoming movies include Dhanush's untitled project with Durai Senthilkumar and A Aa, which marks Anirudh's Telugu debut.
