Rajinikanth & Other Tamil Actors Donate Generously To Help The Rain Affected Victims Of Chennai

Superstar Rajinikanth has donated 10 Lakh rupees in order to help the rain affected victims of Tamil Nadu. The donation is directed towards the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.

An official statement confirmed that the donation was made through 'Sri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust', which is owned by the star actor.

Dhanush too, has come forward to help his fellow citizens by donating 5 Lakh rupees.

While Karthi and his brother Suriya have donated 25 Lakhs, Vishal has chipped in 10 Lakh rupees.

Last week, celebrities like Raghava Lawrence, Anirudh and Vijayakanth came up with their respective contributions by donating handsomely.

Many other celebrities have taken to Twitter and other social networking sites, requesting people to stay indoors. Actors Siddharth and RJ Balaji are part of a relief work, which is aimed at providing food and shelter to those in need.

Heavy rains have wrecked havoc in Chennai and many other parts of Tamil Nadu. Continous rains over the last few weeks have derailed the lives of many in the state.

This being the case, famed celebrities are making their presence felt by providing food to those who are in need, apart from donating money.

Ajith's wife Shalini took to her social networking site to help feed others, she wrote, "We are preparing some fresh and hot food to help out the folks in Chennai. We will be able to feed about 400 or more people. If you are hungry or want to help distribute food to the hungry.
