Though records might suggest that Kasthuri Raja directed Dhanush's first movie, Thulluvadho Ilamai, it was actually helmed by Selvaraghavan. Dhanush and Selva share a good rapport and it is also said that Dhanush often brings out his best in the movies directed by his brother.

Unlike Dhanush and Selvaraghavan, the Sivakumar brothers share a similar interest in cinema which is acting. Though Suriya has admitted that he used to bully his brother when they were young, they have a greater understanding between them now and both are leading heroes in Tamil cinema.

As their names suggest, both men made their debut in Tamil through the movie Jayam. While Raja directed the film, Ravi made an impression in front of the camera. Apart from Jayam, Raja went on to cast his brother in four other movies and they are currently working on Thani Oruvan.

Though they haven't featured in movies together(except for a special appearance), both of them are promising and upcoming actors with Jiiva already cementing his place as a star in Tamil cinema. Ramesh has acted in 15 films so far including a Telugu film.
