numbers mentioned are approximate and subjected to change.
Placed at the 20th position, Karthi's Komban did
surprisingly well at the box office this year. The village based

movie which was released after a substantial delay collected 28
Vikram's 10 Endrathukulla was made with a
budget of 42 Crores (approx), but the movie collected a mere 35
Crores and was termed 'a disaster' at the box office.
Dhanush's Maari takes the 15th position as the film
collected 38 Crores worldwide.
OK Kanmani turned out to become one of the most
profitable films in 2015. This Mani Ratnam's flick collected a
whopping 40 Crores.
Like 10 Endrathukulla, Uttama Villain couldn't
collect enough at the box office that would've otherwise made the
project a profitable one. It ended up amassing 45 Crores.
Nayantara's Maya was an extremely successful project.
The horror-thriller collected 48 Crores.
By collecting 50 Crore rupees, Sivakarthikeyan's Kaaki Sattai grabs the 11th spot in this list.

Massu Engira Masilamani aka Masss
Suriya's Masss collected 52 Crore rupees at the
worldwide box office. The film was produced by Studio Green and
directed by Venkat Prabhu. Masss joined the long list of
horror-comedy flicks that worked at the box office, this
Dhanush's Anegan takes the 9th place as the much
anticipated film managed to collect 53.47 Crores. It was directed
by KV Anand and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh
and Kalpathi S Suresh of AGS Entertainment.
Naanum Rowdydhaan is yet another film that falls under the most
profitable category in 2015. The Vijay Sethupathi-Nayantara starrer
collected a whopping 57.78 Crores. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, it
was produced by Dhanush under his home banner.
Papanasam collected an impressive 57.83 Crore rupees at
the box office, all over the world. An official remake of a
Malayalam film, this Kamal Haasan starrer was directed by Jeethu
Joseph and produced by Suresh Balaje, George Pius, Rajkumar
Sethupathi and Sripriya.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Puli takes the 6th
position. Though it collected 74.62 Crore rupees, the movie was
termed as a flop at the box office as the budget of
Puli was more than 100 Crores. It was jointly
produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar and directed by Chimbu
Jayam Ravi's Thani Oruvan is one among the most
profitable flicks. It collected a massive 75.17 Crore rupees at the
worldwide box office. Directed by M Raja, this action-thriller was
produced by AGS Entertainment.
Thala Ajith's Yennai Arindhaal takes the 4th slot
as the Gautham Menon directorial grossed 87.1 Crore rupees at the
worldwide box office. It was produced by AM Rathnam.
Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana 2 takes the third spot. By
amassing a whopping 112.20 Crore rupees, this horror-comedy is one
among the few Tamil movies that joined the 100 Crore club, this

is the latest movie to have entered the elite 100 Crore club,

this revenge drama gathered a whopping 203.29 Crores at the
worldwide box office.
