After
tasting
considerable
success
through
his
latest
outing
Thani
Oruvan,
Jayam
Ravi
has
reportedly
bagged
an
interesting
film
which
will
be
helmed
by
AL
Vijay.
Said
to
be
an
ambitious
project,
the
film
will
throw
some
light
on
the
mysterious
submerged
continent
called
Lemuria
(Kumari
Kandam).
The
film
will
have
a
historical
touch,
much
like
Vijay's
Madrasapattinam
and
talk
about
a
man's
journey
after
escaping
from
the
catastrophe
that
swallowed
an
entire
continent,
according
to
a
report.
The
legend
of
'Kumari
Kandam'
has
it
that
an
ancient
Tamil
civilization
ruled
the
continent,
located
South
of
present-day
India,
in
the
Indian
Ocean.
The
continent
if
existed
would've
served
as
a
direct
path
connecting
today's
India
and
Australia.
According
to
the
modern
science,
Kumari
Kandam
is
a
pseudo-scientific
concept.
Jayam
Ravi
will
be
next
seen
in
Miruthan,
a
film
currently
being
directed
by
Shakti
Soundar
Rajan.
The
Romeo
Juliet
actor
will
be
joining
hands
with
AL
Vijay
only
after
completing
his
current
project,
which
has
Lakshmi
Menon
as
its
leading
lady.
