SHOCKER: Legendary Tamil Actress Manorama No More?

Legendary actress Manorama, fondly called as Aachi by her fans and the entire film fraternity has acted in more than 1000 films, 1000 stage dramas and has appeared in many TV series. The news that she recently passed away in Chennai spread like wildfire in all social media networks.

On throwing light on the news, it turns out to be yet another death hoax which has made famed actress Manorama its latest victim. Sources close to the yesteryear actress have revealed that Manorama is fine and healthy.

They have also urged fans and public not to spread rumours about Manorama's health. Manorama is considered as one of the greatest actress Tamil cinema has ever produced.

She has done variety of roles and has shared screen space with all top actors and actresses for generations. She is only second to Sukumari in most number of films acted. She is also a renowned play back singer and has sung several songs.

An item in the 'Ripley's Believe It or Not' newspaper feature has her picture and the following statement: "Aachi' Manorama, a veteran of India's Tamil film industry, has appeared in more than 1,500 movies and 1,000 stage performances!".

She also has a unique record for being able to work with five Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. She played the female lead in the plays written, directed and acted by CN Annadurai, former CM of Tamil Nadu. She has also appeared in plays with M Karunanidhi.

She has acted in films with MG Ramachandran and Jayalalitha who both later became Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu. She has also acted in Telugu films with Dr. NT Rama Rao, who became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
