Apart from his magnitude screen presence, his style quotient and his acting skills, if there is one other thing for which Superstar Rajinikanth is loved by all, then it has to be his powerful yet philosophical dialogues.
If you enter a cinema hall to witness a Rajinikanth movie, you can be rest assured that by the time you exit the theatre, a bunch of thoughtful dialogues would linger on in your head for a long time. Such is the impact his dialogues can have on his fans.
If dialogues throughout the movie isn't enough to change a person for good, his songs too (especially the introduction song) will have messages hidden it its lyrics, substantial enough to answer some of the most elusive questions known to mankind.
Over the years, the most influential man of Tamil cinema, has somehow managed to fuse the spiritual side of his into his movies, proving useful for himself as well as his fans.
One of his recent movies, Kochadaiiyaan, too had a philosophical song titled 'Maattram Ondrudhaan Maaraadhadhu' (change is the only constant) penned by Vairamuthu. The song was filled with Rajinikanth's most philosophical quotes.
Interestingly, all these dialogues can be used in our day to day life, if we decide to lead a meaningful life in the midst of this concrete jungle.
Take a look at the slides below for some of the philosophical quotes of Rajinikanth to hopefully understand the truth of life:
"Kashta padaama ethuvum kidaikaathu, kashta padaama kidaikirathu ennikum nilaikaathu" This dialogue from Padayappa can be translated into, "You cannot achieve anything without hard work, what you achieve without hard work will never fructify".
"Varum pothu edhaiyo kondu varurthilla, pogum potho edhaiyo kondu pova porthilla, naduvulla maathro edhukku ennadhu ennadhu nu solra?" This meaningful dialogue means, "You are born empty handed, you die the same way, then why are you attached to the materialistic pleasures of life?".
"Nallavangala Aandava sothipa aana kai vida maata, kettavangulakku Aandava nerayo kuduppa aana kai vituduva", this punch dialogue means, "God will always test the virtue of good people but will save them, he will provide bad people with all they want but will fail to save them".
"Edhiri-ai dhandikka aayiram valigalundu, mudhal vali-MANIPPU", this dialogue actually takes place in the above mentioned song from Kochadaiiyaan, it can be translated as, "There are 1000 ways to punish your enemies, the first way is by forgiving them".
"Kidaikirathu kidaikaama irukaathu, kidaikaama irukirathu kidaikaathu", yet again from Muthu, this dialogue means, "If something is meant for you, you will get it but if it is not meant for you, you will not get it no matter what".
"Vaaipugal amaiyaadhu naam thaan amaithu kolla vendum", this dialogue from Kochadaiiyaan means, "opportunities will not present itself in front of us, we have to go in search of them".
