As it turns out, the teaser looks way more convincing and makes
us believe that Puli might not just make Vijay fans
proud but the entire Tamil film industry.
The visuals look grand as well as sleek and what can be said
about Vijay's looks? This man is definitely getting younger right?
Perhaps the curious case of Vijay?
On a serious note, the Kaththi star looks
absolutely dashing and cool for a commander. Sridevi and Hansika as the
queen and princess respectively are gorgeous while it looks like
Haasan is playing 'a random girl' in the dynasty.
The palace, which was erected near ECR, Chennai, takes us back
to a pre-historic era and looks larger than life. Looks like
Sudeep, who has
been portrayed as a warrior, plays the baddie in a neatly cut 56
Overall, going by the visuals, Puli could set the
standard for a relatively new genre in fantasy thriller, for the
pictures look truly international.

Logo Looks As Impressive
The logo of the film looks as impressive as the teaser itself.
Mounted on what looks like an ancient symbol with a sword slid
across, the font looks stylish and has been aptly given the colour
As mentioned earlier, Vijay looks super young and stylish in the
commander outfit. A bluish contact lens has been used as a part of
his make up which elevates his overall look.
The Main Antagonist?
While it is still not clear if Sudeep of Naan Ee fame
will be seen as the main antagonist in Puli, it certainly
looks like his character is laced with negative shades, going by
Sridevi's look in Puli might have been inspired by
Charlize Theron's character in the film Snow White and the
Huntsman. With a crooked pair of eyebrows, it is possible that
Sridevi's character too might have grey shades to it.
Hansika looks flawless and convincing as a princess. It is to be
seen if she is paired with Vijay the commander. It is to be noted
that she was paired with Vijay earlier in
Shruti Haasan has the girl next door image in the less than a
minute teaser. She might be playing a village girl in the ancient
It is said that Vijay took extra efforts to make sure the movie
is fabricated in the right way. Looks like his efforts are paying
off as the teaser looks amazingly good.
Comeback For Sridevi
Sridevi's previous straight Tamil film happened way back in 1986
when she was paired opposite Rajinikanth in the movie, Naan
Adimai Illai. Making a comeback to Kollywood after almost 30
years, it will be interesting to see if she is here to stay for the
next few years.
On Par With Baahubali?
Since the visuals reminds us of a bygone era much like the
visuals shown in Baahubali, it is to be seen if
Puli will be compared to Baahubali, which
is supposedly the most anticipated film of the year.
Another Blockbuster For Vijay?
The first look poster and the teaser has definitely heightened
the expectation level of fans. Can Vijay produce yet another
blockbuster through Puli? Let's wait and watch.
