Yesterday we had revealed that Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Puli had grossed 32 crore rupees from Tamil Nadu box office alone after completing its first weekend (4 days) run. Now, it's time to know how much the fantasy flick has managed to collect worldwide.
It is said that Puli enjoyed a terrific run all over
the world becoming the second highest Tamil opener, next only to
Vikram's I. This has been gauged after taking into
consideration its worldwide box office gross over its first
Puli has also been received well throughout India, for
it has become the third highest Tamil opener (after Vikram's
I and Ajith's Yennai Arindhaal) collecting 51.1
A whopping 64 crore rupees (all three languages) is what the
Vijay starrer has managed to gross worldwide over its 4 day opening
weekend. However, trade sources indicate that there is a drop in
the collections and that the film's box office fate will be decided
only after this week.
Taking into account the overseas box office, some of the major
contributions have flown in from Australia and France. USA though
has not been generous enough so far, according to a report.

Kerala Weekend Gross
In Kerala, the film's performance was not as impressive as
expected. It has grossed 4 crore rupees in its first weekend and
the collections are said to be on the decline.
Karnataka Weekend Gross
The movie has amassed a total of 5.7 crore rupees Karnataka,
according to a report. Looks like the presence of Sudeep worked
wonders at the box office in the state.
Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Weekend Gross
In Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, the movie has grossed 3.65
crore rupees so far. The total share of the movie's Telugu version
in AP and Nizam areas stands at 2.5 crores.
Rest Of India
From rest of India (including the Hindi version)
Puli has managed to gross 5.8 crores. It will be
interesting to see how the fantasy film fares in its second week in
Total Worldwide Gross
As mentioned earlier, the total worldwide gross stands at 64
crore rupees (approximately) with Australia and France being some
of the major contributors.
Acid Test This Week
The film's box office success will largely depend on its second
week, according to trade experts. It is to be seen if the film has
enough gas in it to collect big this week.
