Renowned
singer
and
music
composer,
Shankar
Mahadevan
has
been
hospitalized
in
Delhi
after
suffering
two
heart
attacks,
according
to
a
report.
It
is
said
that
the
48-year-old
singer
complained
of
uneasiness
and
chest
pain
before
his
kins
rushed
him
to
a
nearby
hospital,
where
doctors
treated
him
for
cardiac
arrest
after
admitting
him
in
the
ICU.
Interestingly,
reports
have
suggested
that
the
Viswaroopam
music
director
might've
suffered
from
cardiac
arrest
on
Friday
(December
4th),
but
the
news
surfaced
only
recently
as
his
relatives
wanted
privacy.
"It
was
mainly
due
to
exhaustion.
Dad
underwent
angioplasty
on
the
first
day
itself
when
he
was
hospitalised.
Thankfully,
there
weren't
any
major
blockages.
He
is
recuperating
well
and
the
doctors
said
he
would
be
discharged
within
a
day
or
two," Shankar's
son
has
confirmed.
Also,
a
source
close
to
the
singer
has
revealed
to
a
leading
daily
about
his
health
condition
at
the
moment,
"Yes
he
has
been
admitted
to
Delhi
hospital,
he
was
feeling
uneasy
and
the
doctor
advised
him
for
an
ECG
checkup
and
then
asked
him
to
get
hospitalized
for
a
couple
of
days,
but
he
is
perfectly
fine,
and
will
be
back
in
Mumbai
soon.
We
request
to
respect
the
privacy."
Meanwhile,
the
singer
himself
has
thanked
all
his
fans
and
well-wishers
for
their
prayers
and
support.
"My
dearest
friends
and
well
wishers,
I
have
no
words
to
express
my
gratitude
for
the
amount
of
love
and
prayers
I've
received
in
the
past
few
days
when
I
was
going
through
a
health
problem",
he
wrote
on
his
social
networking
page.
He
further
went
on
to
add,
"By
God's
blessings,
your
positive
energy
and
some
excellent
doctors,
all
the
procedures
were
successful
and
I'm
recovering
very
well.
Waiting
to
come
and
rock
with
ya'll
soon!
Lots
of
love
and
hugs."
