Earlier
it
was
said
that
Suriya's
upcoming
comedy-horror
film
Masss
will
release
in
the
month
of
June
or
July.
But
according
to
the
latest
news,
the
film
will
most
likely
be
released
on
May
1st.
It
is
also
said
that
the
team
is
currently
busy
shooting
for
the
climax
portion.'
The
film
is
all
set
to
go
into
the
post
production
mode
once
the
Masss
team
headed
by
Venkat
Prabhu
completes
the
current
schedule,
according
to
a
source.
Also
the
audio
of
the
film
is
expected
to
be
launched
in
April.
Suriya
and
Venkat
Prabhu
are
joining
hands
for
the
first
time
after
the
collaboration
between
the
Goa
director
and
Suriya's
younger
brother
Karthi
did
not
work
out
as
expected.
With
his
previous
film
failing
to
succeed
at
the
box
office,
Venkat
Prabhu's
Masss
becomes
an
important
film
as
the
movie's
budget
is
said
to
be
relatively
high.
Masss
boasts
of
an
impressive
star
cast
with
Nayantara
and
Pranitha
playing
the
female
leads.
As
its
supporting
actors,
the
film
has
some
prominent
names
like
Jayaram,
Parthiepan,
Samuthirakani,
Riyaz
Khan
among
others.
Venkat
Prabhu
had
earlier
informed
that
he
was
trying
something
different
in
Masss
and
that
he
cannot
reveal
much
on
the
movie's
genre
or
Suriya's
role.
It
is
also
speculated
that
Suriya
might
be
seen
in
various
looks
in
the
movie
which
increased
the
anticipation
among
fans
and
cine
goers.
The
film
is
jointly
produced
by
K.
R.
Gnanavelraja
and
Suriya.
While
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja
is
taking
care
of
the
musical
part,
the
film
is
captured
by
R.
D.
Rajasekhar
and
will
be
