With such high expectations, it is to be seen if the movie can
perform on the screen that matters to not just please the audience
but also to live up to its pre-release business.
Having said that, here are top 10 reasons(in the slides
below) why you should watch this film in theatres.
Suriya In Horror Comedy For The First Time
Surya has done films in many genre but there are many genres
that is left unexplored by him and horror comedy is good for a
start. Move over that stern looking Suriya and get ready to witness
something light and enjoyable.
Suriya-Venkat Prabhu Combo
If Suriya is a total professional, Venkat is a happy-go-lucky
person and in Masss, one would expect a classy mix of
professionalism and the much liked carefree ride. Interestingly,
both these gentlemen have ventured into this film after facing
losses in their previous movies and would dearly like to deliver a
hit through Masss.
Impressive Star Cast
Masss' casting is truly impressive. Sample this;
Suriya, Nayantara, Parthiban, Samuthirakani, Riyaz Khan, Karunas
and the list just goes on. With such talented performers on board,
there is little doubt that the film will have something to offer
Great BGM Promised
Venkat Prabhu has been constantly stressing on one point,
Yuvan's background score in Masss. Remember his work in
Mankatha? Well, according to Venkat, Masss might
just overtake Mankatha when it comes to the BGM. If it
does, it has to be a pretty good background score.
Suriya's Role A Mystery
It is clear that Suriya plays a dual role, but what's not clear
is his characterization in the film. Going by the trailer, is he a
vampire? Or a ghost hunter? Could he be a ghost himself or the one
who helps spirits to fulfill their dreams in order to attain
salvation? Many such questions loom over his character in the
Good Technical Crew
We spoke about Yuvan Shankar Raja, but what about guys like
Praveen KL, one of the most happening editors in the Kollywood
circle right now, and RD Rajasekhar, the cinematographer who is
known for his works like Billa 2 and
Suriya As 'Eezha Tamizhan'
Here is another facet Suriya hasn't tried before, the role of a
Sri Lankan Tamil. Venkat Prabhu recently announced that one of the
roles Suriya would be emulating in the film is that of a 'eezha
tamil'. It should be fascinating to see if Suriya has mastered the
accent of Sri Lankan Tamil.
Treat For Suriya Fans
If you are a Suriya fan, then you should definitely be watching
this movie for it promises to offer so many things for all Suriya
fans. Also the fact that the Perazhagan actor is back on
the big screen after almost a year should catalyze the need to
watch this flick.
Masss Exclusively For Kids
Venkat Prabhu has promised that Masss has been made
exclusively for kids as he was upset with the fact that kids
couldn't watch his movie Goa as it was given a 'A' certificate from
CBFC. Masss, according to its director will have no
smoking scenes and very less drinking scenes.
End Of The Holiday Season
Holiday season is coming to an end with this weekend and is
there a better way to end it than watching a horror comedy flick
that promises so much in theatres?
