With less than a week to go for Vijay's Puli to pounce its way into more than 3000 screens all over the world, expectations are soaring high from fans and movie buffs and rightly so, as the hype surrounding this fantasy flick is almost larger than life.
Thanks to some brilliantly showcased visual effects (especially in the second trailer), expectations of movie goers have almost doubled. The reason behind it? When was the last time you saw such high end graphics in an Indian film? Let alone Tamil cinema.
Touted to be a Tamil fantasy film like never seen before, Puli promises to be a visual treat and that would be the first thing anyone would expect, walking into the theatre come October 1st.
Also, given the film's ingenious casting, Chimbu Deven would've been aware that Vijay fans alone will not be sauntering into cinema halls to catch Puli. Hence, adequate screen space for performers like Sridevi and Sudeep will also be in the expectations list of many.
If you are still confused on what to expect from this much anticipated film, fret not, for we haven't even scratched the surface of the true purpose of this article.

As mentioned earlier, world-class visual effects is the first and foremost thing that is expected from this Vijay starrer. After all, the VFX and CG works have been handled by some of world's best technicians.
Sensible Story Line
No matter how grand the visuals are, if the movie doesn't house a sensible story, everything might actually fall flat. Moreover, a strong plot is something every story teller would love to boast off.
Let anybody know about Puli's casting and quality performance would be the first thing he/she would expect from this film.
Good Dance Choreography
This is a Vijay movie and hence cool dance steps should be inevitable. Ask any Vijay fan and he/she will tell you how much of wondrous dance moves they are expecting from Puli.
High On Action
You expect any fantasy film to be high on action and the same is expected out of Puli as well. Add to that factor that this is a Vijay film and your expectation in this particular category is expected to shoot up.
With names like Natarajan Subramaniam (cinematographer) and Sreekar Prasad (editor), Puli is expected to be technically strong.
Good Background Score
After having delivered mediocre songs, Devi Sri Prasad would really be hoping that his BGM works big time in the movie and fans too would be hoping for the same.
Lots Of Humour
With performers like Robo Shankar, Thambi Ramaiah, Imman Annachi, Sathyan and Vidyullekha Raman joining the ranks, humour would be on everybody's mind while walking into the theatre.
Dialogues are an important aspect of any movie. But when it comes to punch dialogues, it has to be equally sensible as well as poetic for it to work. Expect such dialogues in Puli.
Equal Screen Space For Lead Actors
Well, if not equal screen space, at least screen space of sensible proportions (among lead actors) is something that can be expected.
