If
a
couple
of
National
Awards
and
a
standing
ovation
at
the
39th
Toronto
International
Film
Festival
isn't
enough
to
emphasize
on
the
importance
of
a
film
like
Kaaka
Muttai,
a
word
about
the
movie
from
Mahendra
Singh
Dhoni
would
certainly
help
for
obvious
reasons.
Dhoni,
apart
from
praising
the
film
after
watching
certain
clips
from
it,
has
also
requested
Tamil
filmmakers
to
release
their
movies
along
with
subtitles
for
them
to
be
viewed
and
understood
by
people
across
India.
Speaking
about
how
Dhoni
was
made
aware
of
the
movie,
director
Manikandan
has
said
it
was
the
distributors(Fox
Star
Studios)
who
were
responsible
in
making
them(Manikandan
and
the
kids)
meet
Dhoni.
"When
Fox
Star
Studios
came
to
know
that
Ramesh
and
Vignesh
are
great
fans
of
Indian
cricket
team
captain
Dhoni,
they
thought
it
would
be
nice
to
make
the
kids
realize
their
dreams
of
meeting
the
star
cricketer",
said
the
filmmaker
who
is
enjoying
the
film's
success.
A
few
blocks
away
from
where
the
heroes
of
Kaaka
Muttai
met
MS
Dhoni,
top
director-producer
Karan
Johar
has
heaped
praise
on
the
movie
after
watching
it.
The
Hindi
filmmaker
wrote
on
his
social
networking
page,
"Kaaka
Muttai
is
a
gem
of
a
film!
Genuinely
moved
by
it...Small
film....with
a
huge
heart!
Congrats
@foxstarhindi
@dhanushkraja".
Just
goes
to
show
that
a
film
with
a
soul
can
win
many
hearts
irrespective
of
its
budget
and
grandiose.
Stay
tuned
for
further
updates.
