With
Rajinikanth's
upcoming
project
with
director
Pa
Ranjith
officially
announced,
it
makes
us
wonder
if
Kollywood
is
undergoing
a
transformation
which
will
define
Tamil
cinema
in
the
coming
years.
What's
the
change
that
we
are
talking
about?
It's
the
self
belief
of
a
new
breed
of
upcoming
directors
with
an
ability
to
convince
top
heroes
to
be
a
part
of
their
project.
Sample
this;
Rajinikanth,
Kamal
Haasan,
Vijay,
Vikram
and
Suriya
all
have
one
thing
in
common
at
the
moment
which
is,
they
all
will
work
with
relatively
inexperienced
directors
in
their
next
respective
movies.
While
Kamal
Haasan
will
be
directed
by
his
assistance
in
Thoongavanam,
Vijay
will
be
working
with
Atlee,
who
is
just
a
film
old,
after
wrapping
up
Puli
with
Chimbu
Deven,
a
director
with
just
four
films
under
his
belt.
But
the
biggest
surprise
is
that
Suriya
will
be
joining
hands
with
Sathuranga
Vettai
director
H
Vinoth
and
Vikram
with
AG
Amid,
who
scored
big
in
his
first
movie
Rajathandhiram.
Interestingly,
AG
Amid
is
the
brother
of
music
director
Ghibran
and
the
news
is
that
Amid
has
roped
in
his
brother
to
take
care
of
the
musical
bit
in
Vikram's
upcoming
film,
touted
to
be
an
action
thriller.
So,
it's
quite
evident
that
stars
of
Tamil
cinema
are
identifying
talented
directors
and
what
more
they
are
even
going
that
extra
mile
by
working
along
with
them
which
is
proving
to
be
a
healthy
sign.
